products. Dell Ultrasharp 1704FP LCD Computer Monitor is a new product from Dell that uses a flat panel display with TFT matrix technology implemented. The device has dimensions of 37.6 x 21.4 x 38.2cms and weighs about 5.8kg. This 17” screen has resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and supports 24-bit colour that can display 16.7 million colours.
The position of display can be adjusted by changing the height level. This Dell computer monitor has an image brightness of 280cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 1000:1. It can be tilted as well as adjusted in swivel with its view angle of 89°. Its response time is about 25ms. Signals are input into the monitor via DVI-D and VGA. Maximum sync rate of the monitor is 76 Hz x 81 kHz. There are On-screen controls for changing the contrast and brightness of the monitor. The unit also supports RGB analogue signal.
A 24 pin digital DVI and 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) are connections provided. The monitor also provides interface for 4 USB connections downstream and 1 USB upstream.
